I guess I am referring to shakey being a finesse type presentation. If im fishing a 10'' worm around 25-50 ft ledges ....i would just use a t-rig or a c-rig. What advantage does shakey give you in those deep water situations?? what size line do you use b/c when I have thrown a 1/4 oz shakey w/ a 10'' worm on 17lb line in my aquarium the action is like half of what it is with the lighter head and line, and instead of a stand up wiggler I get more of a laid down presentation like a pegged t-rig.

Because you can stand the worm straight up in the air. We are killing the fish in 20' to 25' of water doing this. Is a little bit different kind of presentation. The ones I sell comes in sizes ranging from 1/8 oz all the way to a big 3/4 oz. The smaller sizes come with a big stout off set Gama in a 4/0 the 3/8 thru 3/4 come with a 6/0. Hook almost all the fish in the roof of the mouth with them. Tells me that worms is standing straight up. Here is a picture of them.

I find 3/32 is a happy medium between a good feel for your bait and keeping it as small as possible....

We call it Power Finesse Fishing. Works very well also for standing up big craws and creature baits.
Anybody that would like to order some, please feel free to PM, email or give me a call. Cannot order directly off my site but will be my pleasure to make up an invoice and email it back to you. Depending on what you order, in most cases can have it coming your way in a day or two.
Thanks and Good Luck

I honestly do understand "power finnese" in relation to a shakey setup, but to me its an oxymoron. IMO Shakey shakin is only a SUPERIOR technique in lightweight applications when water clarity, fishing pressure, or overall conditions require a "more realistic, life-like" presentation. In my experience, a bass that will bite a 10'' worm in 25-50 would have bitten it no matter how it was rigged...and you get a much better deep water hook-set (and alot less hangups) using other applications with your line sliding through your weight and using straight shank hooks. I just think the survey challenged my thinking b/c it didnt include what I consider the best sizes to use (under a 1/4). Do alot of people really "power shakey"?

We were at Falcon earlier this year and the guys were using 1/2 and 3/4 ounce flat bottomed shakey heads.. With 6 inch craws and 10 and 12 inch worms.. A lot like what Mr. Watts was talking about
