Benbrook? yawn .... we'd be better off fishing mountain creek. Best dfw lakes hands down are Grapevine and White Rock. I like Zach's pond idea but getting people to commit to a drawing a few hours prior is tough

I'd have to agree with Scott on that statement. Talking strictly lakes well over 100+ acres, I'd say those are two of the best lakes in DFW. Great numbers, but also a good amount of 15lb-20lb plus commons and some much bigger buffs as well.

Lol how can you hate Grapevine? It's one of the best lakes in DFW for both numbers and size in commons and buffs.

lol, i can't understand w/r yet i guess, everyone says its good
and i know i have only fished it a few times, but i have fished
lake arlington and caught alot numbers in just a few vists

catching fish on each visit but the last

lake worth has produced numbers for me as well as a PB

and benbrook has also produced

i know its a hard part of the year and the bigger fish are better

but these lakes have produced this last month with decent results

so i don't see how W/R can be considered one of the best area lakes right now...

IMO

No offense to anyone either, just sayin...

I thank God for each day!

That's ok, I don't see how Arlington, Worth, or Benbrook can be considered one of the best lakes either, hehehe. Lotsa fish, sure, but average size seems to be very small, and I've had better numbers and bigger fish out of GV. I've had commons to almost 20lbs and buffs to almost 30lbs out of GV, and I've had days where I'm catching carp every ten minutes at that lake, averaging 5-16lbs per fish. And folks have broken 20lbs on Commons from GV on at least a few occasions.

Haven't fished White Rock, but seen some big fish and some very cool fish from that lake. Plus, White Rock has produced multiple Common Carp over 20lbs, something Arlington, Worth, and Benbrook haven't yet done. From a tournament stand point, I think that's why some people say it's the better lake.

Bottom line, we all like different lakes and that's ok lol.

Lol I think I took most of those pictures Zach. We need to do a whole weekend at GV sometime, just for old times sake!
