I am ruined, I like tying deer hair but......FOAM is where its at, this stuff kicks azz..

by the way I punched round plugs out of foam blocks & turned them using a dremel tool, then tied on feathers & stuff.
tied on 2/0 Gamakatsu Stingers as always

haha no problem. that fly is a bit mangled from the but kicking the smallmouths gave it this weekend. I have been pouring a very thin layer of epoxy on them and results have been a very strong fly, but still not to heavy

walmart craft section. it is 2mm craftfoam. I use spray on adhesive to glue sheets together and clamp them while they dry.

banana WOOHOO!! I have been resisting tying deer hair poppers because I did not want to mess with spinning and packing. Now I can do foam with almost the same result. I have got to get the man room reclaimed and start replenishing the fly stock. Thanks for the idea B A B!!!!
