Lots of great baits mentioned above. Use what you have confidence in. It never hurts to have a couple of different baits in the boat or in the water. Some days they'll hit one better than the other, some days days they'll hit anything you put in front of them, and then there are some days that they just won't bite. But you won't catch a thing if you're not out there trying. Well Said Bobby.

I second MudBelly's recomendation. Sure Shot and Danny King's are great but JPigg is good to keep as an alternative. Stays on the hook great and really produces when the others are striking out.
Mandatory props and due respect to Tiny: fresh shad are always the best bait when available!

that's funny, our group punch bait fishes probably as much as anyone on the forum and i've used everyone of the baits listed except Wild Cat and Mr. Whiskers is the better bait...in my opinion.

dany kings is very good but my new-found fave is mr. whiskers. awesome for shallow-water channel cat on tawakoni!!!
