Oh ok, that isn't bad. I guess the rod is what makes it a $300 setup...

My son and I had the same set up, both brand new this year and they both were stolen at Fork this spring. Never used.....somebody got a great deal. I will be replacing them with the same thing. Academy has the best price and some Walmarts have the 5500 and the 6500 Sweden Made, for the same price at Academy, just at $80.00.

I was not aware of the made in China Abu's but they are trash. Just make sure when you buy one it's made in Sweden. I had to return the made in China one 2 times. I got my money back after that 2nd one broke. 1st one I broke the cheap BCX pole it came with. 2nd one would not cast for anything. Also the bait clicker broke. The made in Sweden are much much better in quality.

Bait clicker broke on 2 of the red china made reels I had too, have recently replaced those with some older sweden made reels. No more China reels for me again. I almost hate to get shad scales on this one custom built 6500 Sports Rocket Mk II with Blue Yonder Sideplates

Oh quit it! Take that bad boy out and land you a bigun. All you need to do now is load up every rod holder on your boat with those. So 17 more reels to go. Man what a pretty sight that would be!

Sure is purty in that box you got that thing on, but after you get a few of them shad scales on there, you get used to it and you will like it a lot better with them on than without. Nice Reel!!!
