Yeah, that's him. Brennan was great. We chartered the Pelican about 4 times with him.

Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.

He's still there. He runs the 42' Viking on private charters.

I hope this group gets a shot at some tuna. They haven't been behind the shrimp boats as of last weekend.

glad to know hes still around. I have never fished under his guidance, but have read tons of positive things about Captain Brennan.

First Off a Big Thanks to Willie and Family of Texas Outdoor Organizers for another great charter.. Larry, Beto and I had a blast! The Son One Crew was excellent and worked as a team to keep everyone fishing. The DSH Kingfisher Crew was hard working and kept us on fish all day! cheers

The Tuna on the Deep Shrimpers were a No Show.. None to be found.

We only fished one shrimp boat that was at anchor... Beto caught a 50# Wahoo on hollow aluminum Surface Iron called a Candy Bar. We had had a massive Ling hooked up off the same boat that broke off.

We fished bottom drops on Rigs and Rocks 90% of the day.. everyone had a limit of Red Snapper with lots of Vermilion and I had a 2 1/2# Lane snapper. The AJ's just did not cooperate.. I put Piggies for AJ's down and caught some good 12-15# Red Snapper.

Several of the Snapper were caught on Jigs.. We were tipping a Jig assist hook with Squid and catching them every drop. We also had some Kings on free lined Sardines.. I lost a Smoker King or good Hoo that just came unbuttoned.

Come On October... I need my YFT Fix!

How do I sign up for October? We were in Port A on Friday and went out on a private charger had a good time but looks like you guys did better, and to fish with TFF crew would be a blast.

sometimes folks have to bail out at the last minute and you may get to go even if the trip is booked full.

It was about a 50lb or so wahoo caught on the last stop on the way in at a shrimp boat. Hit some type of iron right by the boat. There is a pic on one of the other sites.

Anticipation was fun wasn't it?
Someone asked me on the trip how big Beto's 'Hoo was, not ever seeing a Wahoo except that little pencil 'Hoo JP caught trolling on Tres or Quatro Tuna, I guessed 45-50 lbs. Others that have seen more 'hoos suggested 60 lb's or more. I had no idea. It looked a lot bigger in person in the picture. I expected it to weigh over 60#.
Beto gave us a small amount of 'Hoo meat, we'll see how it taste today from the grill.

Tex, Bazz mentioned the main points, email us at too@outdoorstexas.com if interested in being on standby, we have several folks on standby, few are groups of two, and a few are single spots, but if a spot comes open and it's your turn, you can buy the spot. Cost is $650 per person.
We have a lot of long range trips going out this fall, and got a bunch of folks trying to figure out on when they can go on future trips besides Ocho Tuna.
It looks like might be sending out another 3-4 more trips from various ports this fall and winter.
email me the charter you went on if you would, just wondering.
