P.S...Mark,after all those LED lights and stuff you put in your boat,I dont think anyone has a boat better than yours. Please tell me that Mark dosn't have the purple 'hovercraft lights' on his Skeeter.... TFP

I am out on being a long term tourney director. Too many hours and not enough pay. I miss the fun of Solo Bass but do not miss the work.
I feel your pain Mark Perry, but Diane and I Love what we are doing and are truly blessed in the number of quality anglers we have blessed to create new relationships with. Are you sure you wont change your mind and be TD for J C Outdoors? Ple-e-e-a-s-e.
+2 on the whine fest lately about tournaments, I think it is just the heat getting to everyone.
Would I be allowed to use my 7' casting net for bed fishing? Evan that is definitly some out of the box thinking there. Congrats on cashing Saturday at Fork.

I'd like to see a multi-day tournament series.

I will let you know the only problems I see with this. Your pros will not fish it because you will allow co-anglers. The jackpotters will not fish it because now they do not have the edge on less competitive anglers. People with brushpiles will not fish it, because the people with good electronics have used side imaging to find their brushpiles. The guides will not fish it because people have followed them around and have gps'ed their hot spots and have no where else to fish. Your jetboats will maybe enter the first few, but then their boats will get banned by the Gov. Perfect tournament + unperfect world = Never! But I say go for it. I will be their with my less expensive, older, ancient electronics boat and use waterdogs to whoop some arse. I say if we are not gonna have rules then we go full out.

My idea of the perfect trail is one that launches around 9 am after a large country style breakfast, weighs in is at noon followed by a large lunch (bacon cheese burgers) and a nap. Top 10 have a late afternoon fish off followed by, you guessed it, a large BBQ and trophy presentation. Those out of the top 10 will still be able to earn AOY points based on the length of their nap.
The best thing is that everyone is welcome!! Pro's, guides, people who don't have jobs, jackpotters, those with high colesteral, everyone!! To level the playing field I've even come up with my own handicapping system. Entry fee is only $25 plus an additional $2 for every day you have spent on the tournement lake within the last 30 days.
Anyways, this would be my perfect day. Surely I'm not the only one who incorporates more then just fishing into a great day at the lake. Anyone else? Oh I almost forgot. During the summer we will launch early @ 8am!

DuckBoogieman, That sounds like my kind of tournament as long as they allow you to take snacks out on the boat also.

Rules are in place for a reason. Don't fish the trails.
