Ok Its Super Hot!!! Whats your best tactic for summer bass and how deep do you go? Also what type of line for c- rigs? Best tactic is fishing an artifical lure with a hook (sometimes more than one) at the end of a line attached to a reel with a rod. Best line is one longer than 6 feet, and smaller than a clothesline. Sorry...but it is a pretty open-ended question... That's what I've been using, works for me. Lol

You guys staying in out of the heat are missing out on some fantastic fishing. i am heading to Fork tomorrow for four days of deep water summertime fishing and wouldn't trade it for anytime of the year. Yeah, you have to quit around 10-11 a.m. depending on wind and cloud cover and stay in till around 5-6 but if you find 'em deep right now you can catch really good quality fish and lots of 'em. Besides you may just get a nice breezy day with some cloud cover and get to fish most of the day. Drink lots of water wear sunscreen and a grandpa hat and go catch you some monsters.

Based upon my last two trips out. The best tactic would have been staying at home by the pool drinking beer.

the best answer to that broad of a question would be whatever tools matches the summer situations you are facing. bps exists on the belief of a magic lure. dont be naive. they are only tools... put all of the right tools together for the situation you face and you have your answer, well for a time being...
