I tie these in electric chicken colors with a rattle on the bottom of the hook. This does more than add a rattle, when the crystal chenile is wrapped around the hook (and thus the rattle) it adds a "belly" to the minnow as well.

Interestingly, my friends and I found that pearl (white) was the hot color at the Red River last week, with gray a distant second. Our chartreuse flies got nary a hit all day, no matter how many different patterns we tried. Chartreuse flies have worked up there before, if they also had white in them. But the solid chartreuse didn't fare well at all.
