HookEmTexas,he means he would rather throw a small finesse worm on a "dropshot rig" instead of the usual texas and c-rigs.

Carolina Rig. 90% of the time the worm will flutter down. With Texas rig, 90% of the time the weight as at the front of the worm and it sinks to fast. I like a Carolina rig about 18 in in front of the worm.

Texas rig all the way I feel that it's not only more versatile but also more user friendly. The rig can be used any where, bites can be felt easier, and it's just a simple but deadly rig. It's my favorite way to go!

I like all three rigs. They all have their place.

I have a Largemouth at home....sometimes she lets me go fishing.

If I had to pick just one of the two it would be the Texas rig because of it's versitility both shallow and deep. You can flip it, pitch it, cast it, and swim it shallow. You can drag, hop, or swim it deep. Thankfully I don't have to pick just one of the rigs because the Carolina rig definately has its place. I like it in shallow grass(sparse grass not mats) and prefer it on humps, points, and creek channels because it really gives you an idea of what's down there.

Some folks say that fishin on a Sunday is a sin, but if a fish bites my line, you know I'm gonna reel him on in!

Bank Fishing weightless Texas Rig with a heavy plastic (senko etc) is the way to go. Can cast it a mile, and weedless....

c-rigs are great but i don't like casting them and usually don't bother even rigging one. T-rigs almost all the time for me but I'm sure my laziness costs me fish.

Texas rigs. More versatile and I can peg my weight with the T-rig to make it a "poormans Carolina" if need be.

I use all three in different situations. I C-rig and drop shot in both shallow and deep water. I use the Tx.rig when pitching to specific targets, but usually a jig is my first choice when pitching. If they don't want the jig, I go to the Tx.rig.
