Lavon has turned on the last 2 weeks. Catching some nice fish with many in the 1.25#-1.75# range. I caught a 2.25# on Thursday. 1-1 keeper to throwback on jigs and 5-1 on minnows. White/chart and black/chart Rocky Tops fished over b/p's and submerged timber in 15-20' water has been my most consistent bite.
Mid day or evenings are better tan early and late IMO. Need the sun up and a little breeze helps the bite.
Water temps from 88-93 degrees.

Good going Jerry. You're tougher than I am to be able to fish in PM. I did notice that the bigger fish at Lewisville came after 10 AM. Haven't tried late in day.

That is my youngest Matt. Thursday I took an old friend out from Oklahoma. It was a weird day for sure.
He has fished with me many times starting back in the 70's. He and my dad were friends and he'd come by and hook up the boat and we would go fishing while my dad was out of town. He took me hunting, I killed my first buck on his place when I was 12 years old. He fishes everyday at home but he got schooled on Thursday eeks
I caught 30 keepers and 30-40 throwbacks and he hung two small fish but never landed them hmmm
Same baits, same depth, we even swapped poles a couple times and it never changed. I've seen it happen for a while like that but never the whole trip.

I caught 7 big fish on one stump and that 2.25# my son is holding was the last fish.

Now that you say it, I see it now. I bet Matt can catch em good too. fish

I had the same thing happen with my Grandpa and I last Fall. We had the same color, were in the same spot and had the same depth set and I caught 17 and he caught 1. I wish he would have caught the 17 and me 1, but I guess they didn't like him that day. frown He still had a blast though he said. thumb

No one I know would out fish you in the same boat. Not Ernest/Guy/Ahn/Jerry/Paul. Buddy your on that list of greats if you ask me. Anyone thats fished with/against you would agree.

Ok put down the hard liquor Brian, I know he's pretty good but most of those guys you mentioned have a few more years experience.

Ive fished around all those guys and he can catch em as good as anyone can. Obviously they have way more experaince in fishing. Im saying if your standing on the front of the boat and he's next to you your not going to out fish him like they were talking about. Just wont happen. He will either fish faster than you, or slower than you to catch more fish. BDB just take him fishing and get back to me on that comment lol.

rolfmao Just pullin your chain a little there Brain. Out of all you mentioned I have actually only fished with one of them. He'd be hard to beat, I dont even know anything about the rest of them fishing wise except they win just about everything that comes down the pipe.

Oh buy the weigh, sorry to highjack your post Jerry. Nice report looks like Lavon is smoking hot with big slabs right now. Thanks for the update.

I don't think there are crappie at Collin Park Marina. I sunk my crappie condos and all I get are little bream as you people call them. No one else is catching them that I have talked with near my slip. I'm near the end of my path down the slip, in the middle of the marina. (trying not to give my exact slip up.) Are the crappie just further out in the lake, or am I fishing wrong?

-4 lb line
-1/32 oz jig
-black/chartreuse
-minnows are catching cats
-fishing all depths, slow/jigging/letting it sit still
-and walking around the marina hitting all the slips as well.

-Just don't get it.-----------

How deep is it in there? You need some 18-20' water summer time.

WOW I guess the two of you will be fishing in Div. 1 in Texoma. This should be great when the two of you out fish all the Div. 1 guys that you mentioned. I guess you two have been schooling them at the Sunday tourneys as well.
I'll bet those guys are glad that you are only fishing the one tourney.
WOW Texoma is shaping up to be a battle royale.
Good luck you two it takes some real stones to make statement like that on TTF. WOW
