I never been to a place before other than Colo Springs where when you were selling something to someone they would ask " so when do I need to pay you?" this happened alot.
It's more than the catfish would do.

But isn't it our duty as Americans to work within the system first and then, only when that fails completely, to take that ultimate step? Although we may not be where we would like to be as a country, we still have time to make it happen, but that will take more discussion and less finger pointing.
No matter your political leanings, our slide from the ideas set forth by the founding fathers are probably not as sudden or abrupt as they may seem. Changes that seem "reasonable" taken together, over time tend to turn into a situation that make us wonder how we got here.
We need to find our commonality with our fellow Americans again and find fewer reasons to dislike one another. However, while keeping our common goals in mind, we also need to be wary of putting even more laws in place. We need to strive to make common sense more common and make personal responsibility and accountability our guiding force instead of trying to legislate it.
We also need to have a thicker skin and remember that the freedom of speech is not a freedom from being offended. Make it a point to cultivate some friends that don't share the same viewpoints you do and both of you will learn something. BRAVO. There is no possibility that our founding fathers, wise as they were, could have imagined the complexity of the world we live in today. We process more information a single hour than they came across in their entire lifetimes. The pressure that this puts on individuals, groups, organizations, communities, states, and ultimately our nation is incomprehensible even to us. So it's natural that we're going to screw it up. A lot. While they couldn't possibly have imagined our world today, they certainly did have the wisdom to equip us with fundamental principles that to most of us, I argue, are stronger than any others conceived before or since. We honor those principles when we engage in meanginful debate and powerful dissent, all while staying grounded in what holds us together - the fact that we recognize their sacrifices and honor their vision for a society in which people weren't constrained by their station at birth, and in which everyone could participate in government - and governance. It may seem like we've strayed far from the course those brilliant and courageous men set for us. Perhaps we have. But we're not so far afield that we can't stop for a few minutes today, look someone else in the eye, and share the thought that no matter what we might believe about our situation today, we're happy to be Americans, we're proud to be Americans, and we're in it together as Americans. Thanks for your post, Dusty.

So far I have had pancakes for breakfast, grilled hot dogs for lunch, and a six pack of the high life with some ribeyes for dinner, topped off with the city of Austin Fireworks show. I love the 4th of July.
