I know you weren't - however, water size and forage has a lot to do with growing BIG fish.

No protein value in shad - lots of protein value in trout and carp. Texoma is big enough but no forage with high protein value. California lakes are smaller but lots of trout are stocked to feed the LM. Fork is basically dead water - shallow, warm and no forage value.

Likely 7 decimeters...1 decimeter = 10 cm, which = ROUGHLY 4" (2.54 cm = 1 in.).


No fish is too good for the grease.

that's a huge bass, it will be interesting to see the authenticity of this pic, and whether or not it will actually be a record or not.

I have had that fish on a couple of times before, once jumped off, then broke off, then straightened the hook out. No big deal
