Review: Graham Park, Greenville,Tx
Rating: 3 out of 5 Availability: Stocked to fish Fishes: LMB,Channle Cats, Bullheads, and a variety of sunfish Where: Business Hwy. 69 north Description: I catch alot of bass throwing 1/2 oz. orange rattle traps. Have caught some on shallow diving fat free shad as well. Plastics work in fall and spring. Channels are usually caught on the bottom using worms or stink bait. Sunfish bite on worms, minnows, canned corn, or bread. Great place to take little kids to fish.

Review: Twin Creeks Golf course Rating: 3 out of 5 Availability: Go in the evening..half of it is not on the Golf course so you dont have to worry about getting tossed out...Spoke with course marshall already..he was cool with it Fishes: LMB (Chunks) perch I'm assuming..and I have caught one bullhead Where: Here Description: I have caught some Nice..and I mean NICE bass out of here...I recently scouted this spot out and have only fished it 4 or 5 times...so Far I have banked a 5 lber, 3 4 lbers and a few 3's and alot of 1-2's. Baby and regular brush hogs work consistantly....wacky rigged wave worms lately as well...got a few on a Spinnerbait (double willow)..Not exactly "Kid" friendly but if you want to hook up with some nice sized Bucketmouths than this is it...pond is a little low...but it seems like it doesn't affect the bite very much

Good idea BazzTex...keep this on the top! Actually this was a TFF Member request from Dr Joker.. I just copied his words and made it sticky for a small waters quick reference. TFF Members helping members find fishin holes is what this section is all about.

Review: Puddle of Sprinkler Water in my Back Yard.
Rating: 0 out of 5
Availability: Best time to fish is early in the morning, right after the sprinkler system is finished. Water depths of 2-3 inches common early. But be there early - by noon, it tends to all evaporate.
Where: My Back Yard
Description: Fishing has been tough going as of late. Surface baits and plastic worms both seem not to attract any bites. Water clarity was CLEAR, yet I could oddly not see any fish. 3 days of fishing this water body have yielded nothing. Looks like I need an invite to someone else's pond.
Thanks.

AggieSprit, you need some structure in there to attract the fish. look into getting some hotels and houses from an old Monolopy game and put in there. you might try to quit setting in the sun so much too.
Do something every day that makes you happy. Fishing tops my list... Whooop - There it is! 😎

Review: Hermann Park Pond Where: Houston, Texas - near the medical center What: Bass, Carp, Sunfish The only caveat to this pond is that the city of Houston has some ridiculous municipal regulation that restricts fishing in municipal waters to people younger than 12 and older than 65 (years old, that is). I've tried to talk to a civil servant who can explain this to me for 3 years, but have yet to hear a coherent response. I question this regulation because tax money, which 65+ and 12 years olds generally do not pay in large quantities, pays for the upkeep of the park. Anyway, I fish there anyway and have only encountered a few "urban park rangers" who care. I have fished here regularly for 5 years and have yet to be fined or ticked or anything. The water is very, very clear most of the year. There is a lot of hydrilla and other grass. The bass are fat and happy, rarely fished by very selective given the water clarity. I have caught bass up to 7lbs (during the spawn it's ridiculous, since you can see up to 8 ft down pretty well with polarized sun glasses). Carp up to almost 40lbs. If you want to play around with a 4wt fly rod and catch tons of sunfish, you'll lose count in an hour or so. A few examples: The only patterns that work are as follows: -weightless Zoom Trick Worms fished slow -Zoom Horny Toad fished over floating grass or weighted down and slow rolled -shaky head worms or jigs on beds -if the hydrilla permits, rattle trap ripped through the tops of the grass Just keep it clean if you fish there. The homeless people trash that place up enough without our help.
