One more about a buddy of mine (WEEKENDWARRIOR) We were at Benbrook one morning and the wind was moving faster than his Dodge pick up can run ( which isnt much ) We took his boat because its a fish/ski and it has a windshield on it. It was problably in the mid 40's which isnt that cold , but on water is alot colder. We were moving across the lake at a pretty good speed (again it was faster than his Dodge pick up). The lake was pretty rough from all the wind and WEEKENDWARRIOR was sitting on the back of his seat to look over the windshield. Of course I was in my chair looking through the glass. (isnt that why its there ?) Anyway I see this huge wave headed to the bow of the boat so I ducked down and of course WEEKENDWARRIOR didnt see it at all. SPLASH !!!! The water came over the bow and smashed him in the face and upper chest area. I thought it was gonna wash him off the back of the boat.It had to have been atleat 10 gallons of water. His eyes were about doubled in size and the expression on his face was priceless. He was shivering like a Chiwawa pup. I laughed until I thought I would pee in my pants. Just thought I would share that with everyone. Hi Mike ------------------ Jimmye4fish

On the borrowed boat subject. A friend had borrowed a boat to fish a tournament. Everybody had paired up so he was fishing by himself. He got to the ramp early and put the boat in tied it to the pier and came back up to see what everyone else was doing. When everyone had put in and were about to leave he started hollering he had forgotten the plug and the boat was full of water. We got his truck backed down the ramp and he got in the boat untied and started to the ramp. Just about the time he got to the trailer the boat sank out of site. Needless to say when we got him out of the water he was wet, cold and pretty much a nervous wreck. We finally got the boat out of the water the boy dried out and on his way home and we went fishing. We found out later that the boat had been stored outside with the tounge down and the flotation had been waterlogged. It was a tense moment at the lake but by the time the club metting came around we all had a good time with it.

First time I had my new stratos out. Left wife in boat so I could load. Winched up boat and started to pull out. I heard everyone yelling and screaming. Didn't lock the winch. Luckly it didn't fall off the trailer. Bad thing I was with my fishing club and they all saw it. Needless to say it was a LONG fishing season. stratos283
