i'll forgive you if you tell me where to find some crappie...lol..we will fish Moss, always do, but we have wanted to try Grapevine for 2 yrs....boat broke down last year so we've been looking forward to this....know where to look for sandies and bass, just need to know about crappie now...also where can we clean fish...is there a cleaning station at the ramps???

Honestly I haven't fished out there in a couple weeks since I last went with BigMack. At that time the fish were still spawning and we were finding them in 3 to 9 feet of water. I don't know where they have gone now and hope to find out next week with BigMack. If I were you I would look for brushpiles on points in 15 to 20 feet of water. I am still learning the lake myself but I know there are a bunch of brush piles there. If I were you I would PM Jeff Schiller and ask him for some ideas as he has sunk a bunch of brush out there himself. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I guess I was being a smart azz,so I will offer a small amount of advise as a payback, the lake seems to be running about a month behind its normally late schdule, the sandys are starting to school early AM E/O the island and around the mouth of meadowmere cove,I can not (will not)tell you exactly where to fish for crappie because to much work went into making them spots, but if you look off of points and fairly steep drop offs you will find some piles or condos,I have found new ones every trip this year and most of them have fish on them,I seem to do best fishing the south side in the am and the north side in the afternoon,I hope that helps.

You know it's not like that CV! If I'd have known I was gonna get the opportunity to fish with CV the Great, BEFORE I decided to propose to my soon-to-be wife on the same day, I woulda sent a limo to pick you up, and a bikini-clad caddy (not named Stucky) to carry your gear. Heck, I came closer than she needs to know to postponing it because I knew I was gonna have to go to the back of the line for missin' my turn! I'm now number 1153, and I think the last number you called was 4... bang

And about that Crown... We only drink it when were on land (preferably the slips at Texoma), and it's cold outside, but we would certainly bring a carton or two of your favorite cigs as a token of our appreciation! Besides, it would be suicide to even think about drinking whiskey on land, or on the water in this heat. flame

Yeah, a boring job, and internet access will make a man do things he doesn't normally do. Legally, of course!

Only 5,500 or so more posts, and I'll be caught up with you Kid! thumb
