that glove at BPS looks good, and it isn't as high as I thought it would be...but is it HOT??? I don't mean hot looking, I mean is it too warm wearing them? I can handle cold anyday, but the heat...oh no. :-)

Kelkay:
Not really hot at all. I was wading in the Red River yesterday in almost 100 degree heat and my hands were fine. What happens is that the gloves get wet and you get the cooling effect as the water evaporates. My hands looked a bit pruny at the end of the four hours, but were not hot.

okay that lets me know these gloves will work fine for me, thanks for the review...I wonder if they actually sell them at BPS in Bossier City. If they do maybe next month I can get a pair.

I have a pair of stipping glove like the ones from sierra trading post. They are great for keeping the sun off of the back on my hands, but don't work well for me as stripping glove. My fingers may be too long or something, but I still get cut on the first bend on my index finger. I am looking for something that covers that whole finger.
I have Sharkskin line on my 8wt which is highly textured and works like one of those rope saws when stripping for a long time. I am sure a redfish would really make a deep cut.
My 2 cents.
