Sounds like from this thread, Ugly Stick gets the most votes. Ill be getting a couple surf type set ups for the coast that i will also use for cats, hybrid and stripers, and I think I have decided on Ugly Stick. Probly teh Tiger Lite. Anyone know where I can get one locally, BPS and Cabelas dont have them.
How long does it take to bring in a 30 pound cat ?? I have never caught a cat that big but have caught some up to 15 pounds and it took around 10 minutes. If you really caught 31 over 30 pounds (and Im not saying you didnt) that must have been a long day. It is kinda wierd that you dont have pics of the best day you ever had though.... On the other hand I have no pictures of my PB LMB that I caught when I was 13. There are 2 peole on this forum though that saw it !!!

I know that Cabellas in Ft Worth has the Tiger rods, I don't know if they have the Tiger Lites or not though, but if you can find them at Academy you can save some money!!!

Simpson,no one said it couldn't be done. Just hard to believe. It wasn't a tournament,it was a guided trip. If it happened, don't you think he would have posted it on here. I can say this,I caught a 123 pound blue. Released it immediately. Took pictures, but my camers was stolen by a leprechaun on my way home. He can say anything he wants,so can I. Choose to believe what you want. ME,I call BS. His story and mine.

i was only trying to say that my best day of big fishing had a lack of photos as well because we were in a tourny. Never stopped to take pics. just got one picture for the event, but it doesn't prove that we caught that many fish either. i can only prove we caught three :-)
Don't know if Chad is playing with you guys or what....

I bought a Medium Action Tiger Ugly stick at Cabela's then went and checked at Academy and the same rod was a few dollar's higher at Academy. So make sure you shop around. I've also seen them at BPS so they shouldn't be too hard to find.

Lga043- I do not use the reels, I use abu's. I do know a few people that use the reels, and do not seem to have any problems with them.
I would have to agree with you gaspergoo, I had a fairly good trophy blue run this last year, but 31 over 30 seems a little unbelievable. Ya know whats more unbelievable than that. The fact that you believe we would think that those three catfish weigh as much as you say they do...come on buddy nobodys buying that...none of those three weigh more than 70 lb...Nice catfish but your full of it...102 lbs???really???...I think not

Too funny, first post from a newbie is bashing Jared. Welcome to the forum Greg, but this is definitely not the way to make new friends The smallest of those fish is the 73 that is still the Tawakoni R&R record so I guess he duped TPW also
