I appreciate that, but I think I'd rather get one over 100, just incase I do catch something bigger, would you happen to have one in the 125, 150lb range?

100 is as big as these get right now. What you could do is get one of these 100lb scales and note a place that has a certified scale in your area and if you do catch something bigger than 100, you can then bring it there. I also think they have a new length record on the books now so you could always go that route as well without having to have a scale for it. Check out the TPWD and double check this though. The Sharelunker program's David Campbell told me that a few months ago. You can also find certified scales nearest you by checking out this page, http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat/fish/programs/fishrecords/scales.phtml

I've been looking around, and I found one 150lb hanging scale that's in my price range, and I found a calibration company in Houston that can certify it for me. I appreciate your time on the matter, hopefully I'll get it worked out and I can get that record!
