you guys are funny. I spent the last 5 years in chicago with 3-4 months a year to fish, unless you are a fan of ice, and almost no place to fish. Finally back in Texas I have some lakes around and they are all great to me. I love choke(very under rated), I love Falcon, I love Amistad, I never fished AH or fork but I love them too. Choke is the closest to me thats worth going to and if its record is above 10lb than I know they are there. Fished it twice now and boated a 6lb and lost a bass that dwarfed that fish. I'm just glad we have lakes all over for all to fish. you know what, I love them all too.

Stevenfrommya$$ you have no life if you are trying to start some friction on this website. This is talk all about fishing. Not who's better than who...GROW UP! THATS RIGHT! I SAID IT! So just sit there and do that. and just talk fishing and not bashing!

You guys just need to try and ignore Steven. He had to change his posting name because of all the rukus he was trying to raise on this forum and other forums. He loves to get people mad and arguing. I just laugh and go on.
I won't fish AH because of all the idiots out there that darn near run over you in the narrow part of the lake. Man, there are way too many idiots on that lake that don't know better than to drive 70 through the narrow channel part and darn near kill everyone in sight.
Being a West Texas boy and having fished lakes all over the Southern US, I can honestly say that AH is a great lake, but in no way compares to the great Lake Fork, Amistad, Choke, Falcon, Rayburn, Toledo Bend and some others out there. If you put 250 to 300 boats (2 people per boat), 7 days a week, 365 days a year on any lake, you're going to see some good fish weighed in.

I do fish AH and have caught a lot of big fish out of it. I've also fished the east Texas lakes and caught some nice fish out of them. AH has got more pressure on it than any lake I have ever seen...bar none. If you are fishing a cut, not a cove just a small cut, you will have some idiot come right in on you and go straight to the back. I have never seen such rude idiots on any lake, and I've fished Fork during the McDonalds tourni.
I sight fish a lot and had to practice for an up coming club tournament there. Every single big fish I spotted had at least one or two boats trying for them before the day was over. No lake can stand that year after year.
No AH is not the best lake in Texas, in fact if everyone had a chance to see the mad house that it is, I doubt it would make many peoples top ten.

All you folks east of 35 get defensive. Ya'll have all the water and hunting you can handle, and you can have the trees. Let us brag just a little and enjoy it while it last. Hell we're excited and proud. I lived on t-bend for 2 years (Hemphill). Fished both t-bend and rayburn, t-bend (M-W-F-S), Ray (T-T-S). I catch by far more and better fish on henry than either of those lakes and fish less. (If I'm lucky 5 times a year.) Then I'm at Ute!!!!cathing peter fish if I'm lucky.
