Maybe mine were of inferior quality; however, I figure even before I wrapped them with tape I certainly got my money's worth out of them.

Here is what 2 different GW's told us on Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn. "If the noodles are on the bottom, not drifting, any color. If they drift, white. Commercial fishing, orange. But do you think we are going to go around checking noodle colors on a B.S. law when we make more revinue for the state with BUI's and BWI's? Color makes no difference to us." Now this was from 2 different GW's on 2 different lakes and there are more GW's than just those 2 out there. We have used the lime green colored noodles for the last 6 years and have never had any problem since they started the law on colors. Last Sat. evening I was running my noodles in Six Mile on Toledo Bend and the Game Warden drove right past me about 30 yards from my boat while my son was pulling one in and just waved. That was the second time he past us in 2 hours. We were floating in a sea of green noodles. But you never know, the next time I'm out there another one might come by and issue me an expensive fishing award. I think I'm going to try the white duct tape thing though. Also I have seen white noodles on Ebay already made but they were expensive.

Thanks for all your input. I would have never thot of duct tape! Or railroad ties. Good fishing to all!
Started out with nothing and still have most of it left.

Don't use the spray paint idea, it makes a big mess on the boat.

I haven't tried them, but I found these on the web white pool noodles Don't know if you can specify all white, but the picture shows a white noodle. They are solid core, so I was wondering if the center could be bored or drilled out? Price is good.....4 for $14.

Don't use the spray paint idea, it makes a big mess on the boat. not if you use floor paint. it has a good flexability to it that makes it not peel.
i love to fish but catching is soooo much better!!

We have been fishing on Toledo Bend for catfish with noodle lines for years. This was the first year we have been checked by the Game Warden, and it's been twice (same officer - south end TX side near 6 mile). He was strict about they had to be white (we wrapped the colored noodles with duct tape so we were good). But we did ask him how much white did they have to be. He wasn't elaborate, but stressed they had to be white, but didn't say 100% or 51%, no specific number. If I were you, I would not take a chance.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

If you can get white reflective tape it will be better. You will see them a mile away at night.

I called the game warden when doing this on Lake Lewisville. They said white for sure. Although I see all kinds of garbage out there.
I asked him if I could put a marker strip on them. I use checkered Duct Tape on the top. He said that was fine. He also said a lot of folks use a reflective tape.
I also use white duct tape. It is cheap and works fine.

Here's an idea. How about the TPWD letting regular Joe use any color noodle he wants and commercial Joe use white noodles only? That would probably be TOO simplified. We are talking about an agency that requires you to have a hunting license to harvest a bullfrog on a fishing pole.
