thats fine. congrats to whoever won. I wasnt fishing very far away and if I would have known it was at 2:00 pm i would ahve been there and 2:00 Pm. As for the announcements the only thing i heard on the P.A. was peoples names and boats roaring off.Whoever was at registration simply just took my money and my name. It isnt a big deal I just fished very hard the whole day and was looking forward to weighing my fish. (i only had around 5 pounds) I found out about this tournament through TFF and the website you had posted. I had brought one of my buddies and it was his first tournament so he was kind of dissapointed. It wasnt a big deal to me. Thankyou for putting these tournaments together.

This was an unfortunate situation for sure. Send me a PM with your name and phone number and I will make it right for you!

First of all congrats to John and Craig. Way to go guys.

Scott, another great event. We have been fishing quite a few of your events lately and plan on finishing the grapevine series. We continue to get better. This was our first event to weigh a limit. Even though it was all unders. We had all of our unders by 10:30 am and concentrated on main points in 10ft to 40 ft of water. Each point dropped into a creek channel. There was tons of boatr traffic running through there. We tried jigs, carolina rigs and deep cranks. We managed to cath 2 slot fish. One of which we think may have been a spot. I beleive Mark sent you a PM on how to better ID spots. Had tons of fun you really put on a great event. I fully expect to win one really soon. Thanks

look for a spot on the tongue, and they have a smaller mouth than a black bass. The corner of their mouth (when closed) does not extend behind their eye as it does on black bass. They also have a pretty distinctive pattern, but that's not always the best way to tell.

i still think the best way is fried.

I somehow didn't hear 2 to 2:30 also. I was running late and last boat to sign up and leave. I definitely will double check as I should do anyways! Just was a real BUMMER to be late with three overs and a 3ib spot with a under! Also forgot my net that cost me 9 fish. Guess it just wasn't meant to be. Girlfriend sure had a good time though.

a 3 pound spot? I would have wanted that on official scales... got one last year that was close to a lake record. the spotted bass lake record is only like 3.5 I think? what you catch that thing on? I got mine on a zara spook

I would have also liked to see the exact weight on the spot. Biggest Ive ever seen and have weighed a 2 and half before. Girlfriend caught it on a Texas rig.
Also Ive fished most of these tourneys and Scott does a great job.
I felt like Forrest Gump when I got to weigh in. STUPID IS IS STUPID DOES! By the way I did get an ear full! First time I get her to fish with me this year and do something smart like that.

I would have been all over that spot. I had a 1 1/2 pound spot weighed in. but it would have been dwarfed to that big of a spot.

yea I bet your girlfriend would have been all in your butt I bet...

okie great meeting you, I plan on donating for the cooperstown trip.

results?

Just wondering when they will be posted.

That day my buddy and I saw a HUGE bobcat in Meadowmere. This thing was as tall as my doberman and was every bit of 50lbs. That was the third bobcat I have seen in the area, but 3 times bigger than any wild cat I have ever seen. He snuck off in the brush before we could get a pic. He did not have a pattern like most bobcats I have seen, but was straight up gold colored. I thought it was a dog at first. My buddy and I realized at the same time that it was a cat, and we just stood there stunned. By the time we got to the camera he was gone. Looked like a freak'n mountain lion...minus the tail.
