This had nothing to do with whether or not you can catch bass on topwater at Falcon. It was related to the insults a few members were slinging at each other over a dispute.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

Yea, this past weekend did have a decent topwater bite. I mentioned that me and my dad did catch some topwater fish on sunday! However, we were very shocked by this! We fish Falcon on a monthly basis and have never before ever caught a Falcon fish on topwater.

Untill this sunday, I had only seen two fish caught on Falcon on topwater. Both came off a buzzbait, late summer borderline fall!

Spooks did work very good for some of the San Antonio guys that were fishing a club tourny out there. However, there was a better cranking bite and the winner put up 22 lbs on three fish with a brush-hog!

Yes, there are times when Falcon fish will crush topwaters, Im sure! However, its typically not a good topwater lake. Im just trying to help yall out. I fish the lake a bunch but you dont have to take my advice, I just put it out there for those who want to listen. I want yall to have a good time! So, if you are throwing topwaters and not catching, then switch it up before you get zeroed! Unless you are fishing against me in a tourny!
