That's a Malone trailer. Best money I've spent.

What do you use the line from the bow to the seat for?

It was there when I bought the yak used, but it comes in handy as something to grab onto loading and unloading, and as a tether when dragging the yak through shallow water, and I've used it to clip onto branches while taking a lunch break.

I've not done it yet, but seems like it could be used for wading, and clip the yak to you so it doesn't drift away!

It's pretty handy, so I leave it there!

It actually an anchor trolley line. But they come in handy for other uses.

I had thought of that, but dissmissed it because it wasn't in a very practical location to fit my needs anyway.

That's why I mounted my trolley on the starboard side of the yak. A much better system which is out of the way and allows you to anchor either fore or aft.

I use a tag line like that on my yak - just clip it to my wading belt and off I go. Just gotta remember where it is when I backcast with the fly rod. laugh

I think those are my feet (on shore, next to my backpack) and my daughter's feet (on on the concrete block) at the top left of that picture. laugh
