Yeah, you are right..it prolly was me. I am sure anybody I have ever fished with would tell you the same thing.

BTW, I don't even own an anchor.

Since an incident last year with a couple reckless boaters who got hostile, I keep at least one camera on board. Even if it's just the camera on my cell phone. If something happens, get close enough to snap a couple pictures of the vessel with the hull ID - make it obvious what you're doing. When they yell at you to find out what you're doing, you just shout back, "I'm sending this to Parks & Wildlife so they can deal with you!"

we usually make some VERY LOUD comment about Whole MF'n lake and you HAD to anchor /troll/ski etc here. Not worth a fight but not worth tucking tail either. Some dumb a's have no clue unless they are called on it. Either way I would have said something to him everytime I floated by.

There are more good boaters than bad ones. Enjoy the good ones.

I have seen several conversations about space intrusions and none of them ever seen to be fruitful. I've been on top of some schools where there must of been 10 boats within 50 square yards. The only time it bothered me is when someone threw a rattle trap on my rear deck, hooked my fuel line, and then proceeded to try to free it by jerking hard on his rod.

Also, if LL is the most rudest, then we must give honerable mention to Grapevine.

EXCUSE ME !!! HA!!!...absolutely no way that you can compare LEWISVILLE to GRAPEVINE.... Grapevine is just overwhelmed with respect from boaters ( fisherman, wakers, pleasure, kyaks, canoes, bankers,...they are all respectful and very clean people).

Now as far as Lewisville goes...i stopped tryed a conversation with 4 people, all rude, ...lake was dirty , and I even saw several young men carrying stringers of ILLEGAL BASS, and smiling about it in the wide open like they were proud.....NOT COOL !!!!!!!

I dont think that Lewisville is a good place to take the kids in the beginning ....take them to Grapevine ....let them learn how good and clean and how important laws and rules are ...then let them wander out to lewisville and see the real world....

As far as fishing goes...I believe that it will turn out to be 1 of my favorite lakes in the future...just not to keen on the idea of taking the youngsters out there quite yet .....that was my first observation and i was only there for 3 hours....


I will go back at minimum of 5 more times this month alone...and and by myself.

Yeah, Grapevine is like Heaven on Earth. You can drink the water right out of the lake and everybody who visits it is of the highest possible moral character. PLEASE GO TO GRAPEVINE. And after you go, post a report and tell us how the hybrid fishing is over there in paradise.

I really want to go to Grapevine so I can pay the launch fee and then get a ticket for..........paying the fee???
