I caught a nice 5 lb channel kitty on a Jigum Jig on Lake Belton last week. Thought I had a nice hyrid until he started rolling.

i caught 2 nice channels on a silver spoon in the river below whitney dam. But that doesnt mean lures are #1 go to baits for catfish. Whitney is a beautiful, clean lake

I caught about a 7-8lbs blue last winter on a range cube as soon as it touched the water fishing for carp. I mean no more than one second after it hit the fish was on. I guess it thought it was a shad or something. Surprised the heck out of me. Must have surprised him to.

Range cube?!! You can catch a carp on range cubes? How do you rig them on the line?

When catfish are feeding hard and getting ready for the spawn, they are really aggressive and will hit almost any artificial bait.

I was thinking the same thing the other weekend. The back yard butts right up to the cliff. It would be impossible to have a small child playing in the back yard that close to a cliff. Thats scary!
