Kalub,
That retractable anchor rope is the only way to go. If I do another, I'll just use the cable that comes with it. I took mine apart and used rope, but I think that plastic coated stuff would work just as well.

yeah ive had it for about a month, used 5 or 6 times and it seems to work great. 50ft long. was baby blue so i had to paint it. got it for under 20 bucks at elliots.

I JUST GOT MY INSERTS FOR MY NATIVE IN, AND THEN BUILT SOME RACKS, SO I CAN PACK SOME LIGHT GEAR FOR SOME OVERNIGHTERS. ANYONE REAY TO GO ON SOME LONG YAK TRIPS????

I love storage but I'm kinda confused...do you store your gear on the racks you built?
Does that not get top heavy?
All though the Native is a badace yak, I'm just curious about how your gonna pull that off?

stick slinger, you may be right. i'm waiting for the water to warm up, before i try it. i plan on only storing light items, on on it, like my rollout bag, and sleeping pad. maybe a small chair. will let you know after i try it, or flip over. hoping for the best. i think it will be ok, cause the boats are well designed with the tunnel hull. will check back!!
