I run Quicksilver Premium Plus in my Yamaha Pro V 150, and istead of ring free I use sea foam.

Im sure that there are tiny differences between oils but all of them do the same job. I have a Mercury motor and i use Quicksilver oil although the dealer said as long as the oil is TC-W3 certified it doesnt matter what brand oii you use. A co-worker of mine has an old Evinrude 50hp motor that he uses Quicksilver in and has for sometime with no problems. Just look for the TC-W3 rating.

Much cheaper for me to buy Yamalube from a bulk container at the dealer. Just save your gallon containers for refilling.

I bought a 5 gallon gas can and have it refilled at the dealer with Yamalube.

A manufacturer CANNOT deny a warranty claim as long as you were using a TCW3 rated oil. They CANNOT require you to use their brand of oil unless they make that oil free to you.

Also i dont think there is really any problem if you use Yamalube in your Merc or Quicksilver in your yamaha because i found my answer to my question in one of my earlier replys about who makes quicksilver. Yamalube and Quicksilver are both produced by Citgo Petrolium per MSDS sheets. Mercury and Yamaha put there own labels on the bottles and distribute them. Its the same oil execpt for some very minor differences in ingredients. These differences are so small in number and percentage of the total mixture that i highly doubt it makes the two oils different at all.

i use yamaube in my pro v 150.. Could be all mental but it seems to make it run a little smother than quicksilver..

I cannot speak for yamalube but I know that Merc Recommends using the Prem Plus in all XS and Pro XS motors. They do not recommend using the regular prem both are TCW3. Also we sell oil in bulk here at R&R but I can go to Bass Pro and buy QS prem plus cheaper that we as a dealer can buy it. They buy so much they get a big quanity discount.

Quicksilver Premium is just regular TC-W3 two stroke oil. Quicksilver Premium Plus is the synthetic blend of TC-W3 oil.
Just like auto oil, some is regular, some is a synthetic blend.
