why dont you try fishing the main lake ? they arent so spooked there ,fish southshor stArting by the ramp and going towards w/chap and also fish behind the rec ctr. work the curb just west of it (that water has some good depth )when you cast out count the seconds it takes for your worm to hit bottom and you will see what i mean . those creek bass are super tough to catch unless you got them trained like rudy does Damn you where right!! i only fished the main lake for about 1 hour behind the rec center right off the little dock on each side and poped 4 bass, biggest one was only about 3 lbs but better then them little 1 lber's in the creek that take 2 hours to catch lol hey jesse, could we put a lil jon boat w/ a lil trolling motor in bachman?...

I Was Useing A 5" black and blue mad mans lizard...
i tryed throwing some bigger baits but after 30 min's i dident even get a hit, so i changed to a smaller bait and workd it very slow 3erd cast with the smaller bait "BAM" I got a hit
so you can say in 30 mins got 4 bass, the key is small bait if your useing plastics, if your useing hard baits i dont know i hardley use them i love fishing plastics it just works better for me. but anyway, let me know what time your going to be up there i might wet a line also, i only live across the street from bachman so i can be there in no time lol

john boats are ok there is a max HP on outboards (5hp) and the rowing club has priority on the lake thru some kinda deal they worked out with the city so stay out of there way!btw those fish will hit hard baits, just need to be shallow divers or you will end up making alot of donations, don't ask me how I know!

if you in a jon fish the bank on your left when facing the lake all the way to the dam.. bass haven right there . big time if you go even smaller you may double your ratio , just saying . im hitting on 12 lb test , bait castin 3 inch creature baits with a 1/16 oz bullet weight using pretty slack line with the rod in the 8oclock position pointing toward my cast and twitching it twice and usinf half a turn at a time .
P.B. Carp ....29 lbs .... P.B. Buffalo 34.4

I fish out there almost every week day at lunch. I work at Southwest HQ so I am only a couple miles away. I personally have found the creek to be difficult. I have had better luck in the middle of summer up there when the water temps get higher and the fish are looking for some shade. Right now I am fishing shallow bouncing Strike King Mini spinner baits in white or chartreuse. I am bouncing the baits off of any wood I can see and pausing for a second after coming over the top. I am getting most of my fish that way. I am mainly sticking to the side of the lake that parallels NW highway. A little later in the spring Ill start moving over towards the dam area using spinner baits and soft plastics. I use downsized baits mostly. I have tried larger baits but it seems that I do better on the smaller ones. If you are out there at lunch and see a guy in a green hat that says SWA on it and a badge around my neck, come say hi!
