My wife is wanting to find a cabin for us to stay in for a night for our anniversary. She's not into fishing, so it needs to have something else to do. Just hiking trails would probably be ok. We will be going after work on a Friday so it needs to probably within an hour and half or so of Arlington. Any input would be appreciated.

I had looked at those. I'm having a hard time finding anything that doesn't have a 2 night minimum on the weekend.

I haven't been there, but my son (RATZ) and DinLaw spent a few days at the Plum Lake Cabins near Canton. Small private lake stocked with bass and they furnish the boats. Each cabin has a hot tub. Close to Canton and Athens (fish hatchery).

We stayed at Trickle Creek outside of Glen Rose. Nice little place. It was a nice little cabin for just the two of us. There were a few bigger ones too. Did a little fishing at the pond. Caught quite a few small bass. We will probably go back again.

Here's the cabin we stayed at.
