I doubt LFM had anything to do with your minnows demise. It is usually not a lack of oxygen but over heating that kills them so quickly. If someone takes a bag of minnows and lays them in the bed of a pickup or the bottom of a boat that is usually already hot then add the sun blazing down on them, they will over heat and die in a matter of minutes. They have to be kept cool and out of the sun.
The minnows were alive and well in the store and when you left with them.

Thanks for the compliments everyone, there are a lot of great businesses on the lake and we appreciate everyone's business.

So we go back and show them the bag full of dead minnows and you want to know what their response was? "You're supposed to put them in the water"

So we asked them for another 1/2 lb and they made us pay for them! There was no way we could have got them in the water/minnow bucket any sooner. Not to mention, their attitude was quite rude. Even my two daughters told me how rude they thought the people were when we got back into the store.

That store lost several hundred dollars a year over a $7.00 bag of minnows. Never again. . .

You sure you have the right place? A half pound of minnows doesn't cost $7...but I know what place does.

Fisherman's Cove Dan and his wife are great people and run a top notch business.

Don't steal from Lake Fork Marina. I saw that big dude, Cam beat the tar out of an entire baseball team for stealing bubble gum and copenhagen! Not only did he beat them down, but he monkey-stomped 'em while they were on the ground! Cold blooded! smile smile

make sure when you are in LFM to push all the shelf items over on the shelf, so Cameron has to go back and pick them all up and make em purty again wink

the minnow story is funny. i dont believe as nice as Cameron and the folks at LFM are, that the problem was from thier place.

LFM and Moser's....such nice people and great food!

Last time I was on Fork (two weeks ago) we actually ate Moser's for lunch and dinner....LOL! We drove out of our way just to go back for dinner!

Most places I go seem OK. The only problem I have with Moser's is you have to walk thru the smoking section to get to the non smoking section. Which is real petty since I still go there. I have to always go to the store after eating to see what neat stuff Cameron has got new. banana

I smoke, but I never understood nor like their smoking/non smoking section, its bass ackwards.

One more thing, their lunch turnout would be much better if they had a marked boat lane running into their marina...

Mxbubs- buy one of Lance Vick's Lake Fork Boatlanes chips and download into your graph. Not only does it have the west side boat lane marked right into LFM, but it has all the other marked and many unmarked LF boatlanes, too! Great tool. I've been fishing the lake since the day it opened and I still use it!

Well, ya know, I'm 44 years old and have a pretty good idea the best way to take care of a bag of minnow. I've had minnows last all night in a properly oxygenated bag.

These were placed in the ice chest straight out of the store and we drove MAYBE 5 minutes to the boat ramp. I have never seen an entire bag of minnows die in that time, even in the summer heat.

Lake Fork Marina has piss poor customer service and I will advise everyone I know NOT to do business with them.

Well you are 44 years old and for sure you do not sound like a walking encyclopedia, the boat ramp is not 5 minutes away from the store.I have been fishing longer than your 44 years young, and common sense tells you how to take care of minnows since they are very fragile, and temperature affects them (die) when hot.you have to keep them cool.Sound to me that you were on the rag.LFM,go out of their way for their customer, that is why they are number (1) on lake fork.Get a life!!

Sir, I certainly wasn't there so I can't speak to as how YOU were treated. I have been fishing out of Lake Fork Marina since its been there. I have never been treated badly by anyone at the office or in Moser's restaurnat, nor have I seen anyone else be treated that way.

I'm actually shocked at your satement about customer service. Perhaps you caught someone on a bad day, I dunno. They're the best on the lake IMO
