Back in the 80's Falcon was at conservation or above and we had a norther blow in and the waves were breaking over the road on the dam.
We had a seized Ranger bass boat, I forget how long it was, and we would tie up to the markers at night listening for boats running from Mexico to the US and follow them into the inlets or the Tigres.
One night, we had really hard south winds and the boat was riding the swells to the top of the marker, probably over 4 feet and realistically up to probably 5 feet. That was a very long night.

Hubbard Creek in Breckenridge tomorrow 4-4-09.
Taking 5 to the weigh-in occurs when opportunity meets successful execution of one's preparation.

Even at 303.0 those would have to be 25 foot waves to be able to crash over the dam.

Biggest 5
Texoma Toledo - just because of the boat lanes, can't effectively run at times Big Sam Amistad Falcon
Others'
Chambers Tawok
But because of the layout of Texoma, the wind is always blowing from one direction or another and you can hardly ever get out of the big water.
There were 8-10's yesterday at the mouth of Little Mineral! Hey Mike dont forget about Palestiene when you damaged or totaled that Champion in the bass club about 5 years ago I would say Richland Chamber Sam Rayburn Ceder Creek Whitney and yes certian places on Granbury aswell

this is a tough one.
South end of Falcon is dangerous with a bad norther, been there done that filled a boat full of water. Probably the worst scared I ever was. Not sure how I made it to the ramp.
Choke when its full about got me one time. South Texas wind is next to none. Second worst scared I ever was. Must have been the direction of the wind that day, some of the nastiest close breakig waves I've seen.
I don't think Conroe has ever been calm, if it was couldnt tell for the boat chop.
Amistad, gets big but swells like the gulf and you can power up and down. I know, I quit bass fishing and fished off shore for a while. Now after I typed that I just remember how rough it was coming out of Zorro and my boat looked like a ballerina.
I do remember Texoma from when I was a kid back in Oklahoma, in an old Lone star with a crappy merc on the back.
All the big lakes get rough, I give up.
Thanks, Billy
