Since I will be chasing crappie Sunday I will give you a heads up on sandies. They have been on the hump (and were yesterday evening) just off the park area at Anchor Inn for the last week. That area should fish well for a while.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Thanks man.. It was a toss up to which lake I would go to this weekend it was between PK and Tawakoni but with the weather report the way it is i might night be able to head out all. Maybe G-vine but if its windy and cold then i should just save myself and stay home.

If you had some wadres you could wade out on the point of Anchor Inn. We us to do that 20 years ago.

Went to wind point park on waders today and wade alittle but wind was blowing to hard so had to fish on the left side with the rocks blocking the wind. Fishing was super slow, but i had fun. Saw a flock of bird like 300-400 above the water towards anchor point, must of been a school of fish or something there. All we caught today was 2 fat yellow bass, and 18 inch channel catfish, and a 24inch blue catfish. I had fun catching the 2 catfish on 6# line.

today I tried tawakoni for the first time, even with the wind it wasn't that rough. I tried looking for hump in front of anchor inn but I couldn't find it, so I went to the stumps and caught a couple cats, and then I trolled thundersticks around because I couldn't find any organized schools and I got a big sand bass. Was anybody else out there that did better than me? I probably should of went north in the shallows for better catfishing.

The hump is at the mouth of Rabbit cove. Its the South point of Anchor inn.

Went out there with my buddy Jason. Started out slow and only picked up two . Drove around trying to find bait and only netted like 20. Thought it was going to be a horrible day after that. Saw some bird trying to work but the really never fully got going. They'd start and stop. So we trolled around..picking up a few, then this is what popped up on the screen.... woot

Then after that...it ws on..We caught on good sized hybrid and about 30 magnum sadies. Probably the biggest i've caught this year. Biggest sandy was 17 inches. Huge on. Turn out to be pretty good for us. Thank goodness, cause we where lookin sad for a while...LOL..Oh yea...all caught on slabs..didn't need the bait. banana
