I just bought a jonboat and it's ugly! I'm planning on painting it for a winter project. Just may end up putting a little deck in along with the paint.

Had to come see this ragged old boat after reading the other thread...
Brings back old memories.
Me and a buddy spent a winter rebuilding his old jon in the same way.. It added so much weight that the little 10hp on it blew a hub on it's maiden voyage. Got that fixed and spent the rest of the summer catching fish.
I think I caught more fish out of that old boat than I've caught out of any bass boat I've owned.

Nice boat!! Is the rear deck complete? I saw a pick of it under construction, but not completed. I have a converted jon and plan to add a rear deck. I am looking for ideas.
