See post number one of this thread. It tells you all you need to know. This is my 2nd jig swap. Loads of fun and the tyers in the first one I participated in were awesome. BTW - you do not have to be awesome to join - everyone starts somewhere.

The real judges of the jigs are the crappie.

Come one come all! Deadline to sign up is only 9 days away!! Six spot left so don't delay!

For those already on the swap, we can speed up the turn-around time on these jigs if you get to tying right away. Right now we're at 14 jigs so if you get all 14 tied then you're ready to mail in! The faster I get these in the faster I can get them back out to you! If we get more to sign up for the swap, then all you have to do is tie another jig for that person.

But the deadline is definitely April 15th. On the 16th I'll send everyone a private message with my mailing info.

If you're a swapmeister and you have 20 tyers, does the tyers make 21 so that the swapmeister gets one? I'm not a jig tyer but wanted to get involved and maybe try some of these guys jigs.

Seeing action is better juice, take a look at those videos on utube again and you will probably find one that will help. When I use them depends on if I want to use the tip of the feather or a chevron shapped tail. If you want the end, cut it as long as you want to make the jig plus the length for tying, I cut off the feathers from the tying end about a quarter of an inch then hold it in place until I make some wraps to hold it in place. Sometimes I put a little jig glue on the wraps to hold it in place. Depends on how elaborate the jig is, the glue keeps it from spinning on the hook if you are gonna add more to it. Does this help at all?
