Looks good man. I'm doing a jon boat build myself, but I've ran into a lack of funds problem. And I've got an older motor and have to do some repairs before it runs. I hope to be up and running this season.

I'm happy for you and your new toy. Now go out there and get her wet!

Gig 'em!!!

Ya in low wind its fine.. and 99% of the fishing I do is for catfish so I am usually tied up shallow in the stumps.

Excellent job, I love it. I had planned to do a small casting deck on the bow of my boat, and underneath have a glove box area to put stuff like first aid kit, and stuff I wanted locked away. Y'all did a fantastic job. I had thought of just having a glove box type opening. But after seeing your job, I may want that type of opening
(hatch door...do you make them or buy them somewhere?)
for the top of the deck as well. Anyways, love the job. It is WONDERFUL.

Thank you very much Kelkay! How is your boat coming along? Has it been on the water?

No mine hasn't been on the water yet. Here are pics of the boat progress till now.

At the bottom of the first page of pics is what the boat looks like on the inside. The outside is primered already. The inside is still requiring more work.

wow, cant believe i missed this post...

looks great!!! you and your dad definately put more work into your jon boat than i did to mine. i painted the entire interior with a slip resistant paint and then put a plywood floor in the front and middle.

hope it gives you many hours of joy on the water!
