Hey the ones you caught on the fly looked a lot better to me. The other night at Lady bird I skunked all the conventional anglers on the fly.

Is that a fact... well, you can tell I'm not from around here.

Never been face to face with a Nutria before.

when your up this way bring a gun and shoot some...also you'll notice they are all juvenile, an adult nutria was present but slipped away before I got very close, not very motherly in my opinion, so yea, shoot 'em, I don't care.

Good to see you out there chasing the real fish again, Mike. I'm in Abilene tonight and just back from Amarillo, so some pictures of some good green fish are just what I needed to keep my sanity.

Mike as usual those are some fantastic fish ya got there on the photos with your awesome rod. As far as poppers on top...I don't think eyes matter either. They look better to us, but I don't think the fish care. As far as sub surface..oh yes...ya got to have eyes on it...somebody else said that...and I do agree. Anyway, beautiful photos, and it's good to have ya back. Tie up some more of those eye popping bass bugs and post them too when ya get a chance...I miss seeing your latest creations.

Just a thought...if ya did want to add eyes...why not put one or two on the bottom side so a fish could see it underneath. It might be worth a test. Eyes on top or the side...naw...I can't see how that would help. (on a bass bug popper) A little red on the underside could be a test. I think if you keep at your poppers for just a wee bit longer, you are gonna be one of the top deer hair bass bug dudes in this country. I love your bugs, they are freaking awesome.
