RolandRoux, that's awesome! You must be pumped and ready for more! Was it a largemouth bass?

Roland....if you possitively, absolutely have to catch something, then Bob Jones Park in Southlake is your best bet. There still may be some stocked trout there, and there is always catfish. Send me a PM if interested in checking it out, and I'll send you the load down.
Also recommend you take up Jason (Sidelt67) on his offer to take you out to Denton Creek. He knows it pretty well.

It was, and man they really do have a friggin large mouth - I was a little worried when I caught him that I would screw up pulling the hook out, but he seriously just spit it out of his mouth. I was thinking, "Yahtzee!"
I held him up high while my dog's eyes were dinner plates.

This is where I was. If you are turning off 377 onto Keller Hicks, go straight and turn right onto Park Vista road. If you go to google maps and look this up, its the lake on the left in front of bray birch lane (it has a number 12010)

I will try but my schedule is so flipping hectic that my free time aka fishing time is found not made, you know. Is Bob Jones lake private? Do you have to be a member of something or have a Amex card to fish there?

match the hatch, have a game plan, or hire a guide. be realistic, if you're a rookie, you aren't going to outfish the veterans, but you can learn a lot from them, however there's a lot of secrect and lingos you need to learn, it's not rocket science, and a little luck never hurts.
having friends with similar interest could make is safer and less expensive hobbie/sport.
Believe me, golf is a lot more expansive!!!
