Dang Huck , I was happy with the debate and then ya go and throw a fine dancin' babe on us .... And Blonde to boot ! So much talent . I want to buy a Celery Stick , Loomis is owned by Shimano made in China !! All Star is owned by Shakespeare , Kistler is a criminal for importing rods at 42.00$ and selling them for 385.99 and they really are toooo light , Fenwick builds in Korea but still has an American Image , somehow . St, Croix has a plant in MEXICO , and American Rodsmiths ??? Don't even bother getting me started on those fat clowns . Robert Scherer doesn't know which end of the rod to fish with let alone build one .
BUILD YOUR OWN ! ITS EASY !!!!!

Interesting notes y'all should know about the big orange carrot!
1. Element 21 is the company that makes the carrot - they are actually a golf club manufacturer that makes fishing rods. Might as well go and fish with a Titleist!
2. They are a Canadian company with a Russian CEO that manufactures their blanks entirely overseas.
3. The company lost over 1.2 million dollars in the last 6 months! Good luck getting your warranty honoured when they are bankrupt.
4. Evasive on blank components - "High Modulus Graphie and Nano Fibres"
I was just at the Houston Fishing Show and had another opportunity to meet Trey Kistler. Let me tell you he is a top notch guy doing his all to build the best rod out there. It's a guy like that who I want to support and I will continue to buy his products and support Kistler. I have 10 Kistlers right now and will probably buy a few more in the next couple of weeks.
Oh, and I can tell you I've broken a couple of Kistlers in the past (both were my fault - had nicked the blank in both cases) - that didn't stop me from buying more of them. Oh, and I've also broken virtually every other rod that is available out there. From loomis to st. croix to old shimano beastmasters etc. etc.

I'm not a Kistler fan at all; I think they are substantially overpriced. That said; the higher end Kisters are going to be better than the Carrot blank. Batson can roll some pretty good sticks. As far as the middle rod market is concerned; the Carrot blank can hold it's own. However; E21 totally skimped on the guides. The Berkley SS frames/inserts suck. There really isn't any way to defend them. Any grade of ceramic is better....even hardloy's.

BUILD YOUR OWN ! ITS EASY !!!!! It's true that St. Croix assembles the Mojo Bass rods in Mexico, but those rods are labeled as being made in North America, and NOT the U.S.A., and the blanks are made in Park Falls Wisconsin. The Avid, and all Legend series are made in the U.S.A.. Of course wrapping your own rod is the ultimate. DIY makes SURE that the rod is ON spline, and the guides are spaced to the exact locations that you want. Not to mention that wrapping your own allows you to pick, and choose the EXACT components that you want, as well as the color of thread that you prefer. TFP
Above all else hold these two things in the greatest of circumspection; government and self. YOLO=Schiefspiegler
