Get out in the middle of the clover and spray some small patches with roundup. Dont get any on the grass....just the clover. You dont need much....and be very careful with it.
Then, move over 2 feet and cut out a 1 foot square of the clover. Replace with a 1 foot sq of St Augustine sod.
Repeat this process 2-3 more feet away in a checkerboard pattern.
Water and fertilize the sod. Set the mower high until the sod takes over the clover. It'll be gone in 8 weeks.

I've heard that clover gets over run with St. augustine as the season goes on, I'd keep it for now.

The 2,4D did the trick!! I had to buy a special sprayer in order to use the right amount but my yard is now clover free! Take that leprechauns!!
