I got an ingrown toenail scheduled to get cut off at 3 today, so I don't know what I'll be up for after that... never had one done before, so I don't know what to expect.

Except that it'll hurt. Hey, maybe they'll gimme some codeine!

If it's not too bad I'm gonna try & fish this W/E, too.

Hope you feel better soon, KnotAtWork... could be worse, you could be sick when it was nice out! crazy

I went to a volunteer appreciation thing today for the dog rescue group me & the missus volunteer with. The guy that owns the place has a large pond down the hill from the B&B type place where they host events at... man, you could see schools of 10+ pound fish moseying around in there. I practically begged the guy to just let me play for a half hour, but he said they're "his pets".

Dayum.... I want!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it aint raining on Sunday I will probably head out there later in the afternoon. I have been going there pretty regularly lately and it seems to be picking up a little, it has been a few weeks since I was last skunked out there.

They are saying scattered T-storms on Sunday. Hopefully we get a good downpour, sure could use it.

I have been using a Heddon popper at 1378 with a good amount of luck. I also have been using white LFT swim baits and they seem to like chasing after them right up near the bank but haven't been able to get one to hook up yet.

The venerable spinnerbait has been my go to when nothing else has worked and it has not let me down the past couple of weeks.

Hey!

I just got back from 1378... tried some moonlight fishing. I didn't catch anything, but I did have a pretty neat experience anyway...

I fished all the way around the big pond, and thought about heading home, but I decided to hit up the little pond over the hill. I've caught fish there before. Well, I crest the hill & I see "a turtle" on the bank. I don't think much of it, but a coupla seconds later he jumps in the water... I'm thinking to myself, "Maybe that was a frog?!?" So, anyway.... about 15 or 20 seconds later I hear this 'splash-WHAP' and I knew what it was...

A beaver. huh

I said to heck with my night vision & went to my truck for my Mag-lite & sure enough. I watched it for a coupla minutes... swimming back & forth, then I checked the bank where it was at when I stratled it... looked like it was peeling up some of the sod they've laid there. Maybe there's some foodsource under there? What do beavers eat besides clams, anyway?

I'm off to google about beavers, I guess.

The rodent kind, you dirty minded....... grin
