It was announced today that BassCat just won their 5th JD Power award in a row.
Not much in the way of a fluke when you string that many in a row together. The big question at this point is when, who and how can beat them.
Impressive to say the least but I would venture to say it really isn't a big surprise to the people who own one.

Good for BC, they deserve it!
I am a little suprised Ranger or Skeeter haven't 'kicked it up a notch' to wrestle this award away from BC.
They make some fine boats too!

When I was in the market for my boat I had never owned a bass boat, always center console bay boats. So I had no biases toward any brand. The Power survey is what got me looking at BassCat.
One thing I was cautious about was how objective this survey is -- and it isn't. It's totally based on customer opinion. I first figured this out when I looked at the motor ratings, BassCat would be 5 stars and brand x would be 3. Well, they all use the same motors.
Long story short, I started looking at each brand closer and I still thought BassCat was the best option for a lot of reasons.
There is a reason BassCat owners are, for the most part, in love with the company and their rigs. The JD Power year after year results are a symptom of a company that builds great boats and is extremely loyal to their owners.
It doesn't necessarily mean BassCats are that much better than all the other brands, some ways I'm sure they are and other areas maybe not, but it does prove you have a great chance of being really happy with a decision to buy BassCat.
Congrats BassCat.

Attentention to detail!! Mass produced boats do not get that much TLC and it shows. CONGRATS RICK AND RON @ BASS CAT BOATS!! I think you've nailed the reason. I think there are several companies that produce a fine product. The difference is in the way the Pierce's do business and it shows. I'm still a big Ranger guy and may always be. But if customer service and attention to detail is what drove my decision, it would be a Cat hands down. They do business the way business ought to be done and because of that, they are the leader in their category. They still operate with a model that has given way to mass product and inflating sales. Hats off to BassCat and I hope they win this award every year.

I am glad they won it again.
They are a family run american company and they seem to keep things simple, take care of their customers and actually seem to appreciate your business. The local dealer (Rockwall Marine), also seems to appreciate the business. That means a lot in my book.
Some things that impress me are you get an actual person when you call BC, though you probably will not ever need to call them. You can get a direct answer to any question you have. They send a personal thank you when you purchase. They have an OI that is actually free to fish and is family oriented. They treat you right while you are there. They even have some guys at the OI going by checking things to see if you need any minor repairs, such as lights, winch straps, etc.... I really don't know what all they are set up for, but it is a nice feeling when they stop and ask if they can check anything for you.
That is just a few things, not to mention the boats are well built and run and handle great. They have some great features and subtle design aspects that others don't have and you can't fully appreciate, until you fish from one awhile.
What it comes down to, is they understand you have to build a great product to start, then you have to take care of and treat your customers right. They seem to understand that there are other choices out there and that they have to earn your business. They make you feel like they appreicate your business and they are down to earth about it.

If you ask Ron Pierce the reason they are on # 5 is because they have dealership owners like Tommy Yetts @ Rockwall Marine.
Congratulations Bass Cat & Rockwall Marine.

I thought this was a Bass Cat post ?
And if you look @ resale considering original price I don't think there is much difference.
