If the Etec part is correct. Then I knew I had the best ride there is Puma and Etec. Way to go BassCat and Tommy (Rockwall Marine).

Ron Pierce has it figured out.... Design it right, build it right and get the best in the business to sell and support his products. WOW... sounds like an award winning plan to me.

I am BCB .....:)

I think you've nailed the reason. I think there are several companies that produce a fine product. The difference is in the way the Pierce's do business and it shows. I'm still a big Ranger guy and may always be. But if customer service and attention to detail is what drove my decision, it would be a Cat hands down. They do business the way business ought to be done and because of that, they are the leader in their category. They still operate with a model that has given way to mass product and inflating sales. Hats off to BassCat and I hope they win this award every year.

Exactly - Some people are just too stupid to realize it.

As we pat BassCat on the back, can anyone here explain how someone receives a J.D. Power award? How does J.D. Power make it's money and stay in business? I tried to research this and came away a little less confident that this is a non-biased award. I think there is a money trail, however it is very hard to follow and to quantify. I think BassCat makes a fine boat, however I believe the J.D. Power award has become more of a marketing tool than an accurate measure of absolute quality.

one thing is for sure, there aren't that many used bass cats out there. when people buy them, they tend to not want to sell them.

Wouldn't trade for my BassCat, unless it was for another BassCat, and I'd sure buy it from Tommy again at Rockwall Marine.

Always a possibility these days, but highly unlikely since BassCat is the one of the smallest, and I would bet, least capitalized of any of the major players.

Own one now and my next one will be a BC as well!!

94 PII 200 Mercury EFI.

They are a class act hands down! Tommy is certainly a class act as well. He has pulled regular maint. and replaced my lower unit as well.

Funny, cause I've owned 4 different Ranger's since 1979 and never once was I asked to fill out or participate in any JD Powers survey. Had I been asked too each and every Ranger I owned would have received top marks!
