The lake will get a lot better if they will let what aquatic vegetation live that is in it now.

Reading back through some of those old threads regarding Roberts tgen reading the newer ones it tends to point to that if fishing was not great back then and still not great today that the issue might be the lake itself and not tournament pressure, slot limits or other factors. Hard to argue that logic! I’d venture to say the biggest enemies Ray Bob has are the white bass and gar. There is no other lake I fish with even half the number pf gar that we see on Roberts. I don’t understand how anything that will fit in a gars mouth survives in less than 5’ of water. Also been catching sandies on the bank 15 yards from where largemouth are on beds. Keep in mind the fisheries biologist over the lake told everyone at the US Open event that the fish population in Roberts was excellent and gar are not a problem. Lastly.. per TPWD if you want more largemouth stockings to improve fish per acre, start entering every fish over 8lbs on the ShareLunker app. They use that data as part of the which lakes get how many stockings formula.

The number of bass per acre is about 2 at Ray Bob now AHAHAHHAAHA The pressure on that lake right now is abysmal.

I feel like the vine and Lew are dang near overrun by gar, sandies, and carp; you think ray bob is just as bad?

You can see them cruising without fear, they know they're the apex on the lake.

They raised the slot on Fayette a couple of years ago. It seems to be helping. There are more 5-6 pound bass being caught now and an occasional 8. Didn't see many over four two years ago There are several of us taking the unders home.
Transgenders: God made them, the devil changed their minds.
