Sorry to bother you, but what type of perch is in the picture, we have creeks south San Antonio with hundreds, ranging about a 1/4 to 1/2 pound. Thanks Hunterclus@yahoo.com

Don't think I ever caught any granddaddy sunfish. When I first started fishing LOP in 1964 I wss wading a little cove not too far from the damn and threw some big chromplated plastic lure at a little twig sticking out of the water and 3# crappie hit. I had no ideas even what it was. I came here from Indiana where a hand size stunted crappie was the rule.

These aren't the biggest I've ever caught, I'll have to get home before I can post those. But here are two bigguns that were caught at one of my ponds: My nephew and a big gill A guest and his big bream. can't remember if this was a gill or a redear/bluegill cross. Set a state record for flyfishing private water.

well those make my fish embarrased. but i am not a bream fisher and i was fishing for bass on a slow day so i dug up some grubs and tried the bream for the first time in a long time. i had a blast. i caught probally 15-20 bream and 4-5 bass on grubs in my little 1/4 acre pond. i didnt even know it had bream in it. but here is the biggest and i dont even know what this is but i sure didnt stock it. i guess an egret brought in eggs on its feet or something. but i caught 2 of em. this is the biggest of the 2

The bottom fish is a green sunfish...and that's a very fine specimen you have there. The top fish is a coppernosed bluegill and is not native to Texas so it definitely was stocked there by someone.
