I'm sure he's a great guy and probably a good guide too, but sometimes you get what you paid for. If he's out there doing it all for $25 a head and living on that good for him.

Probably doing what I am considering doing. Getting a guide lisence then starting a business. All my fishing gear, boat everything is a tax break Who cares If I make money guiding : ).....

I agree, Guess its a little different on a pontoon, you could get enough people to justify the trip i guess. $25 each is a bargain. I cant do that at all with my center console. Even his regular price at $75 each is a bargain!!!

I just found this post yesterday. I thought maybe I should join in and explain why the low price. I'm on a mission to break the lake record here on Lavon. I don't care who breaks the record as long as they break it on my boat. I still offer private all day trips on Texoma and Lake Lavon for 1 to 6 people. We can accommodate larger groups with enough notice.

Texoma for Striper, Private Trip:
$350.00 for 1 to 2 people
$50.00 for each additional

Lake Lavon Private Trip:
$250.00 for 1 to 2 people
$50.00 for each additional

Kids 12 and under always fish free.
Kids under 16 $25.00

Here is the special I'm running through February.
If anyone would like to catch the fish of a lifetime, here is your chance. I'm offering 1/2 day trips for $25.00. We leave the dock at 8:00AM and return at noon. We leave again at 1:00PM and return at 5:00PM.

Capt. Larry is a great guy! I've had the privledge of fishing with him twice before, and both times I caught nice fish (including two pb's, the last one being 20lbs). His boat is extremely nice, and he'll put you on the fish. If I were back home, I'd take him up on the offer.

I fish with Captain Larry quite often. It is a good experience and Larry is a great guide. Don't think for a second that because it's cheap,you'll get bad service. I have yet to go out with larry and not catch good fish. If anyone has the chance to go,do it. Heres some pics of fishing with Capt. Larry

It's a great way to get on fish & meet other fisher persons, these are not "private trips" You call & book a spot & he will take up to 6 people (I believe)out. If he only gets 1 or 2 you can bet he will still go out. You don't have to worry about trying to fill the boat & find someone to split with. Good luck to all that go, Lavon is pretty hot right now & most of the locals believe the record will fall this winter.

Im heading out tomorrow all day with Capt. Larry looking foward to it emailed him the days I could go and he called and said lets go. Seems to be a great guy on the phone and anyone that would offer a trip at this price, you just cant go wrong....my luck I will just catch a 6in. fish all day but that normal and thats fishing....
