Only one color worm I would have to say black and blue. Good in all water clear, stained or muddy. Good 24-7 for some fish. But that will never happen cause the bait monkey will not allow it.

Mine would be watermelon red as well. But I have to say, I think I need to start trying some of the other colors listed above and be a little more open minded!!!

Makes sense why watermelon and greenpumpkin keep showing up. Doug Hannon talked about how different colors affect bass and said that green was by far the least offensive and didnt send off any danger signals to bass. Thats why the first pack of plastics I bought was watermelon seed flukes. Since then, my favorite color hinges on the type bait. One color for worms, another for craws, etc. I think the best way to pick a color really, is to try to match the color to the color of the lake bottom or vegetation in it. Everything tries to blend in.

I have every color in the rainbow, but go months at a time fishing nothing but green pumpkin. Watermelon red would be second.
