Back in the 70's Lewisville had em, even white rock had em. I caught several really good ones below the lewisville discharge, now called LLELA on bucktail roadrunners! Caught em in arrowhead park too up on the lake.

Caught a couple below the stairstep spillway on white rock, in some deep pools that used to be there.

Awesome eating!

biggest problem was the temps too extreme, and even the deep water did not hold enough oxygen for em in deep summer. they could not reproduce and i guess TPWD thought it too expensive for a put and take program like the rainbow trout stockings in winter.
