best fish i have ever eaten, nothing really even comes close, in my honest opinion, at least fresh water fish anyway, haven't had too many of the salt version.

White River does have Walleye, I caught a 6 pounder out of the crappie house years ago..

I grew up in Borger, moved to ET in 82. I spent many an hour chunking a countdown rapala at Lake Meridith back in the 70's. I'm sure all my fishing spots are dry now.

best fish i have ever eaten, nothing really even comes close, in my honest opinion, at least fresh water fish anyway, haven't had too many of the salt version.  Shore lunch is the best way to enjoy walleye! The only one I've caught in Texas was on Travis back in the erly 80s. Close to 2.5#. For me to drive to Meridith, I might as well continue on to Canada. Its only another days drive.

Im statione in Frt Sill,OK. and thy keep tellin me that theres walleye,sauger and suageye in the lakes up there but iv never fished forem so i dont even know how to target them, any pointers percheye?

We'd catch walleye in Canada slow trolling leeches, worms, or minnows on a walleye spinner, with sometimes the spinner attached to a bottom bouncer.

Nice catch Percheye !! Havent been to Merideth in years.White river does have a good population.Seen several 7-8 # rs from there in last couple of years.
