Thanks Southern boy, I know exactly the reed bed you speak of...has a big open area right in the middle. I actually pulled the boat out after cleaning fish this morning but, now I know.

Jonas, I landed one of those monsters back beyond the railroad tressle, beyond the second bridge...man alive I thought I had the hoss of hosses on the line...big [censored] turtle was as big as my net.

Good luck with Calaveras all I am out of there until Spring.

For reports on Calveras and Braunig you can call, 210-302-3640. The reports are from anglers coming in that day.....
